Tiger

Tiger is one of the longest remaining residents at the centre. He is CDWK’s logo dog! One day, back in 2010, while Kate was on her way to the vet, she stopped the taxi for an injured dog – there was Tiger, lying stunned in the middle of the road with a deep gash across his back. Concerned local people had put turmeric on the wound – they wanted him to be taken away for fear the local butcher would slash him again (he had already lost his tail in an earlier incident!). At the clinic, the vet sutured the gash together layer by layer. Tiger also had a fractured vertebrae. In time, Tiger walked again. He has remained a healthy, active dog. Tiger is a gentle soul, who loves people. He is a careful dog, who fits in well with the others, although he has grown more retiring with age. He usually snoozes the day away, except when going out for walks, which he loves. Tiger is an old dog (over 10 years old) who will live out his life in the shelter.

Thanks to Rebecca Morris for sponsoring Tiger.
