Choma arrived on 23 May 2022 from Thamel suffering from mange and in poor condition. She was brought in by Dave Bethel from Canada who had just successfully climbed Mt Everest. He named her Choma – from Chomolungma. Originally intended to take her to Canada, it was decided she was too old and frail to travel. She is sponsored by Dave, and is in quite good condition for her age.
