Baloo has been through a lot. He was supposedly under treatment at the government hospital for cancerous nasal polyps. He was not doing well there, so in August 2018, the “Don’t Panic Nepali Dogs” group brought him to the centre to continue his treatment under our vets. The cancerous tissue on his nose completely subsided with chemotherapy but he is left with disfigurement holes in the nose, blindness in the left eye, a misshapen head on one side, and a weepy right eye. Baloo was then found to have CTVT and subsequently underwent a course of chemotherapy for that. Baloo is probably about 6-7 years old (as of January 2019.) He is gentle but also willful and determined. He has escaped into the fields and up in the hills a few times. He really loves petting. He was sponsored by Tatjana.
Sadly, he suffered from a sudden infection in the nose which spread rapidly and, as he was in pain, he had to be put down. A gentle dog, he had a few peaceful months in our care.
