Khaire arrived in the centre on 14 April 2021 suffering from a severe leg break. Dr Sushil at AMC carried out the surgery and inserted a metal plate to hold the leg together. A strong dog, he did not like being in an enclosure for a week! He recovered quickly but with a limp, and returned to his location on 18 May 2021, where he was welcomed back by the community.
